Mission House Center
Throughout its history, Lakeland College has been intentional
about maintaining a close relationship with its founding church, now the
United Church of Christ. Over the years, the College has attempted to
do this by providing educational services to its church constituency in
a number of innovative ways. Most recent among these have been the establishment
of the Mission House Center and the creation of an M.A. program in Christian
Theology. The Mission House Center is an ecumenical program center providing
broadly based opportunities for continuing education, study, and reflection
for clergy and laity.
Programs of The Mission House Center include:
- Lecture Series
- Annual Mission Conference
- Biannual theological consultations between the Wisconsin
Conference of the United Church of Christ and the Evangelical Church
of Westphalia in Germany
- Theological colloquies on contemporary issues
- Workshops for church musicians conducted by theology
and music faculty
- The M.A. in Theology program, leading to an accredited
36-hour degree
- Clergy in Residence Program available to pastors
of the UCC and its partner churches
