The works of approximately 60 students will be featured as part of the 2012 Lakeland Student Art Exhibition, an annual show that features works by Lakeland students enrolled in the college's various art classes in the current school year.

A reception and awards ceremony will be held on Friday, April 20, beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the Bradley Fine Arts Building on the Lakeland campus. The show will run through May 18. Attendance at the reception and admittance to the Bradley Gallery are both free and open to the public.

The Bradley Gallery is open from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday, when the college is in session.

The show will feature close to 200 works in a wide range of media. The works are the best examples of any given assignment, and works that required more than one class period to complete.

Students who hail from throughout the U.S. and several different countries will be stationed throughout the gallery and will discuss their coursework and field any questions from the attendees.

The opening reception features an awards ceremony, which will include a People's Choice Award.

Courses represented are drawing, two and three-dimensional design, computer design, oil painting, illustration and graphic design.
