AR 252 Pastels I

The development of color theory, composition, draftsmanship and other technical skills in the medium of soft pastels. Emphasis is placed first on color theory exercises exploring relationship between hue, value and intensity. Color knowledge is then applied to creating the illusion of three dimensional form(s) in space on a flat picture plane.

Prerequisite: AR 101 Drawing I or consent of the instructor.
