AR 288 Black and White Photography

An introduction to the techniques and aesthetics of black and white photography. Composition, shooting techniques, lightning, film processing and print developing as they relate to the artistic use of photography. Explores work of important photographers. Students will also learn slide documentary techniques for art portfolios. Students must have a 35mm camera with manual aperture, shutter speed, and focus. The camera should be equipped with a 50mm lens.
