Audio-Visual Laboratory and Human Relations are required experiences as well but are not formal credit courses and can be completed in the field.

Acceptance is established by passing all three sections of the Wisconsin PPST Exam, having an overall grade-point average of 3.0, and obtaining three references. Students in the Early Childhood through Middle Childhood Education major must also complete an Early Childhood Education program, including a Child Care Administrator course, through one of the Wisconsin Technical Colleges.
