- ABOUT LAKELAND

Staaf completed three seasons at the helm for the Muskies and finished with a career mark of 51-61. She won one Lake Michigan Regular Season Conference Championship in 2003 with a 10-2 mark and finished 25-11 overall in three seasons of conference play.
In Staaf's first year (2002) Lakeland finished 18-18 overall and 8-4 in the LMC (t-2nd). Despite winning the 2003 title, the team finished 17-21 overall. Last spring the Muskies finished 16-22 overall and 7-5 in conference play (3rd).
Lakeland will seek to fill the position as soon as possible. The future looks bright for the new coach as he/she will inherit a team primarily made up of experienced underclassmen, including LMC Co-Player of the Year Leslie Doxtater. Doxtater was also named the Co-Rookie of the Year and will only be a sophomore.
