Muskies Defeat Maranatha In Rain-Shortned Affair

The Lakeland Muskies defeated the Crusaders of Maranatha Baptist on Thursday nite by a final score of
10-3.
The game, halted by lightning after the seventh inning, saw the Muskies rack up 11 hits as the Crusaders posted eight errors and just six hits.
Sophomore Nate Brusewitz picked up the win for the Muskies, pitching five solid innings, giving up just three runs on six hits and struck out seven.
Senior Paul Daniels was 2 for 3 on the night, scoring two runs and two RBI's. Junior Bret Nelson and freshman Matt Ambriz both went 2 for 5 with an RBI each.
The Muskies (6-16, 3-6) will next face Dominican on Friday, April 14 at 4 p.m. The Muskies will then host Maranatha on Saturday, April 15, for a doubleheader starting at Noon.
