Sheboygan, Wis. - Lakeland College Women's Soccer Coach Marc Colwell announced that Sarah Voigt from Black Creek, Wisconsin will play soccer for Lakeland next season.

Voigt joins a Lakeland women's soccer team that won their second Lake Michigan Conference Championship in a row and advanced to the programs' first-ever NCAA Tournament last season.

Voigt played soccer at Seymour high school for head coach Todd Messner. As a senior, Voigt was named 1st Team All-Conference in the tough Bay Conference. She was an honorable mention All-Conference performer as a junior.

"Sarah is a very athletic player that comes from a high school program that is still in its infancy," said Colwell. "She will definitely flourish once she gets surrounded by more experienced and talented players."

Voigt will compete for time in the back and at outside midfield.
