Muskies Advance to 5-0 in LMC With Win Over Dominican

The Lakeland Muskies improved to 5-0 in Lake Michigan Conference play with a 45-39 victory over Dominican University on Wednesday evening. The Muskies went on a 10-1 run to start the game and never looked back.
Senior Beth Porter led Lakeland with 13 points on a 5-7 shooting night from the field. Senior Kristi Thill added 12 points, while sophomore Jenna Boehm went 4-4 on the evening scoring 10 points. On defense, junior Danielle Duranceau pulled down nine boards, had a block and a steal to lead the Muskies.
Lakeland shot 39 percent from the field for the game, while holding Dominican to just 33 percent shooting.
Lakeland, 9-3 overall, will be back in action on Saturday afternoon when they host LMC opponent, Wisconsin Lutheran, at 2:00 p.m.
