The Lakeland Muskies dropped to 10-4 overall after falling to Benedictine 65-48 on Wednesday night.
Sophomore guard Allison Komaromy hit a jumper with 4:56 remaining in the half to put Lakeland up by four. Two three pointers by Benedictine's Dana Sullivan would eventually tie the game at 23 with 4:09 left in the half and Benedictine would go on to take a 28-25 lead into the break.
The Muskies were led on both offense and defense by senior Beth Porter. The Saint Charles, Ill., native shot 7-15 from the floor for 16 points, while pulling down six boards. Porter also recorded two assists, two blocks and a steal in her 32 minutes of play.
The Muskies shot 36 percent from the floor for the game, while Benedictine shot 39 percent.
Lakeland, who still remains unbeaten in Lake Michigan Conference play at 6-0, travels to Concordia on Saturday, Jan. 14 for a conference match-up against Concordia at 2:00 p.m.
