The Lakeland Muskies dropped their first Lake Michigan Conference game of the season with a 72-65 loss at Concordia on Saturday afternoon.
The Muskies trailed 39-29 at the half and were able to cut the lead to as little as three on a layup by senior Kristi Thill with 2:28 left in the game.
Thill led the Muskies with 29 points, five boards, three assists and one steal on a night that saw Lakeland shoot 38 percent for the game. Junior Amanda Thielmann was the only other Muskie to score in double figures with 11 points.
Concordia was led by Krista Mayyou who scored 18 points, while Erike Ensign and Erin Meier scored 16 and 15 points respectively.
The Muskies, 6-1 LMC and 10-5 overall, will face Maranatha on Monday Jan. 16 at 7:00p.m. on the Lakeland campus in Sheboygan.
