Senior Linebacker Captures Defensive Player of the Week Honors

Lakeland College senior linebacker, Ryan Van De Loo, has been named Illini-Badger Football Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
The Sheboygan Falls native played an important role in the Muskies 27-15 victory over the Northwestern Eagles at Lakeland's Taylor Field on Sept. 3. Van De Loo tallied seven solo tackles and seven assisted tackles for a total of 10.5 on the day. Included in the total was four tackles for a loss along with the two sacks that the senior netted.
Lakeland (1-0, 0-0 IBFC) will travel to face #15 ranked Carthage in Kenosha at 7p.m. The Muskies will return home on Sept. 17 to square off with #17 ranked UW-Whitewater at 1p.m.
