Ryan Maiuri
Lakeland College senior quarterback, Ryan Maiuri, has been named Illini-Badger Football Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
The Sterling Heights, Mich. native led the Muskies to a 27-15 victory over the Northwestern Eagles at Lakeland's Taylor Field. Maiuri completed 19 of 32 passes for 182 yards and one touchdown. The senior also rushed for 103 yards, including two touchdowns, on 16 carries.
Lakeland (1-0, 0-0 IBFC) will travel to face #15 ranked Carthage in Kenosha at 7p.m. The Muskies will return home on Sept. 17 to square off with #17 ranked UW-Whitewater at 1p.m.
