Muskies Fall To Westminster In Ten Innings

The Lakeland College baseball team dropped the second game of the season, a 9-5 loss to Westminster College (Mo.) in 10 innings.
Senior Nick Steudel had a solo home run in the top of the first inning to give the Muskies an early 1-0 lead. Westminster would answer and build a 5-3 lead going into the eighth inning, when freshman Shawn Loch hit a two run home run to tie the game (5-5).
In the tenth inning, freshman Dan Rhodes gave up the game winning grand slam to Westminsters' Alex Shelton, handing the Muskies the 9-5 loss.
Senior Josh Henschel was the offensive highlight for the Muskies, going three for four with 2 RBI's and a two run home run for the Muskies.
Lakeland will next face Millikin University on Monday, March 13 in Decatur, Ill. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
