Two Muskies Grab IBFC Player of the Week Awards

Lakeland College senior linebacker, Ryan Van De Loo, has been named Illini-Badger Football Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this year.

The Sheboygan Falls native collected 5 solo tackles and assisted on one other in a 45-7 win over Benedictine last weekend. The 5-foot-11, 225 pound linebacker also tallied three tackles for a loss and two sacks on the afternoon as well. He was awarded this honor earlier this year after Lakeland's week one win over Northwestern.






Billy Hughes
Also gaining honors this week is freshman punter, Billy Hughes, who was named Illini-Badger Football Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.

The Brooksville, Fla. native punted four times in the win over Benedictine for 162 yards, an average of 40.5 yards per kick.

Lakeland (2-2, 1-0 IBFC) returns home this Saturday to face Eureka College at 1 p.m.
