Oshkosh Ends Winning Streak For Men's Tennis
Athletics - posted on 4/10/2006
The Lakeland men's tennis team lost its sixth match of the season on Monday, falling to UW-Oshkosh 7-0.
Freshman Matt Rutlin was the only Muskie to win a set.
"Oshkosh got out of the gates early and controlled most of the matches the rest of the way," said head coach Ben Oestreich. "Matt Rutlin at No. 1 was able to win his first set but ran out of gas as Corey Dickert, a junior, came back strong to finish the match 6-1 and 10-3 in the super tie break."
The Muskies (1-6) will next travel to Lake Forest, Ill. to face Dominican. Match time is set for 4 p.m.
