Catch This - Football Game Part of Weeks Homecoming Activities

On Saturday, a busy week on the Lakeland campus culminates with the Homecoming football game against Illini-Badger Conference opponent MacMurray College.
The Muskies have a chance to head to 3-0 in the IBFC with a win and set up a showdown at Concordia (WI) on Oct. 15.
Last week, Lakeland manhandled the Eureka Red Devils, 64-0, for their fourth straight shutout of Eureka. The Muskies received outstanding play from sophomore running back Shawn Lee, who ran for 119 yards on 11 carries, and senior linebacker Ryan Van De Loo, who tallied a sack and two interceptions on the day.
In their two conference games this season, the Muskies have outgained their opponents 1,050-200 while outscoring them 109-7.
MacMurray, the 2002 IBFC champion, is coming off a 41-14 victory over Concordia (IL). Running back Peter Ereg rushed for 171 yards on 23 carries and two touchdowns.
Lakeland has beaten MacMurray handily the last two seasons by scores of 54-13 last year and 53-7 in 2003.
