- ABOUT LAKELAND

Where: Lakeland College, Sheboygan, Wis., Taylor Field
Kickoff: 1 p.m., Saturday
Records: Lakeland 3-2, 2-0 IBFC; Eureka 2-2, 1-1 IBFC.
Who to watch: Lakeland's defense put together its best performance in last week's 64-0 shutout of Eureka College. Perhaps the best part of the game was watching a lot of the underclassmen come in and play well. Freshman John Wagner is second on the team in total tackles with 27, including four for a loss, and he has forced two fumbles. Offensively, freshman Brandon Erdman rushed for 90 yards last week, while sophomore quarterback Brad Wilk completed three of four passes, including a touchdown, after being inserted into the lineup in the third quarter.
For MacMurray, Terry Martin and Ryan Eberthart led the team in receiving and touchdown catches, with two each. On the defensive side of the ball, Larry Pirollo leads the team with 32 tackles, while Jordan Missey has registered a team leading eight tackles for a loss and five sacks.
What's at stake: It's homecoming week at Lakeland College and the festivities are in full swing. This game will wrap up a festive week for students, parents, alumni and friends of Lakeland. The Muskies are continuing their quest for the 2005 IBFC title. Currently, Concordia, Wis., and the Muskies are the two only undefeated teams remaining in the conference heading into this weekend. Both teams are looking to keep their undefeated streak in tact heading into an Oct. 15 IBFC showdown between the two schools. In order for that to happen, Lakeland must beat MacMurray and Concordia, Wisc., must take down Concordia, Ill.
