Looking for a way to burn off those Thanksgiving day calories? Come cheer on the Lakeland men's basketball team as the Muskies host a pair of state-league schools.
On Friday night, the Muskies Thanksgiving basketball feast starts with a much-improved UW-La Crosse team that's looking to pay back the Muskies for last year's defeat. Last season, the Muskies traveled to La Crosse and pulled out a tough 64-60 victory.
Saturday evening, Lakeland hosts the two-time defending NCAA Division III National Champions, UW-Stevens Point. Stevens Point is ranked 26th in the D3hoops.com preseason basketball poll. Last season, with just under 7:30 left, the Muskies tied the game at 48, and were within two three pointers with just over a minute to go before eventually falling 70-59 to the eventual repeat National Champions.
Both games are scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start in the new Moose & Dona Woltzen Gymnasium.
