Kristi Thill Earns LMC Player of the Week Honors

Lakeland College senior guard, Kristi Thill, has been named The Lake Michigan Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

The Garden, Mich., native averaged 20 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists while going 10-22 from the floor in Lakeland's two conference games this past week. Thill tallied 17 points, making five 3-pointers, in an important conference contest against Edgewood on Feb. 8. On Saturday against MSOE the guard once again hit five 3-point baskets and scored 23 points, but it wasn't enough to get past MSOE as the Muskies fell 52-47.

On Monday, Feb. 13, Lakeland captured the final LMC regular season crown with a 66-40 victory at Maranatha. Lakeland, the number one seed in the LMC Tournament, will host the winner of the play-in game between Maranatha and Alverno on February 17 at 7:00p.m.
