Men's basketball semifinal set for Thursday

The Lakeland College men's basketball team will host Edgewood College on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Lake Michigan Conference Tournament semifinals.

The Muskies, the top seed in the tournament, advanced with a quarterfinal win on Saturday over Maranatha Baptist. Fourth-seeded Edgewood advanced with a win over No. 5 Dominican.

No. 7 Marian, an upset winner over No. 2 MSOE, travels to No. 3 Wisconsin Lutheran for Thursday's other men's semifinal.

Thursday's winners will meet Saturday at 2 p.m. at the home of the higher seed to play for the tournament championship and the LMC's automatic berth in the NCAA Division III National Tournament.

The Lakeland women's basketball team will host Concordia, Wis., on Saturday night at 7 p.m. in the championship game of the LMC Women's Tournament. The winner advances to the NCAA Division III National Tournament. The Muskies are the top seed, while Concordia is No. 2.
