Muskies Tabbed Fourth in Preseason LMC Poll

The Lakeland baseball team has been picked to finish fourth in the Lake Michigan Conference according to the preseason coaches' poll released Tuesday.

Lakeland, which finished 14-28-1 overall last season, 9-9 in the LMC, totaled 35 points in the annual poll, voted upon by the eight member-school coaches.

Defending champion Edgewood was unanimously picked to repeat, while Marian and Concordia locked up the second and third spots, respectively.

Dominican, who is in its first season in the LMC, and MSOE finished in a tie for fifth, and Wisconsin Lutheran and Maranatha were picked for the last two positions.

Lakeland opens its season on its spring trip at Westminster College in Fulton, Mo. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
