Muskies suffer heat of Crusaders shooting

On Saturday afternoon, the Muskies traveled to Watertown to take on the Crusaders of Maranatha Baptist.  Hitting just eight shots in the first half (8-28) and nine in the second half (9-33) doomed the Muskies as Maranatha shot 46% for the game to come away with the 25 point victory, 70-45. 

Sara Langenhorst was the only Muskie to score in double figures, chipping in 10 points and three rebounds in the Muskies loss.  Renee Steinert added nine points and seven boards and fellow senior Karli Nichols added three points in 29 minutes of work. 

With the loss, the Muskies slip into a tie for second place, tied with Marian College in LMC play, with one game to go against Alverno.  The Muskies will take on Alverno College on Tuesday, February 15th at Alverno College.  Game time is set for 7pm.
