Although Brittani Kazik went down in the first set of her fourth-seeded singles match 4-6, against Milwaukee School of Engineering's Melissa Craig, she was able to battle back to take the second set 6-1 (10-7) for an individual match win. However, the rest of the match belonged to the Raiders who claimed an 8-1 victory over the Muskies (1-4) on Saturday.

In singles play, Lisa Hentges dropped her number one seed match 2-6, 2-6, while the second-seeded Courtney Jablenski also went down 5-7 and 1-6.  Number three seeded Andrea Schuchart lost 2-6, 0-6, while Jennifer Huang and Fanny Xiong were also defeated at the fifth and sixth spots with scores of 0-6, 0-6 and 0-6, 4-6 respectively.

Number two-seeded doubles partners Kazik and Schuchart got the closest to securing a doubles victory for the Muskies, but fell short in the end with a 5-8 result. Hentges and Jablenski lost at the one seed spot 4-8 and Xiong and Huang were defeated 3-8 in the third seed match.

Lakeland begins Northern Athletics Conference play on Thursday against Concordia Wisconsin in Mequon, Wis. Matches are set to begin at 4 p.m.
