The Lakeland College Muskies took part in the Ripon College cross country meet today, with three individuals competing in the event. Two Muskies, Angie Guell and Matt Forss both had personal best's in the effort for the Muskies.

On the men's side, Matt Forss finished with a time of 30:55.33, good for 24th place. On the women's side, Penny Arentsen finished with a time of 23:38.52, good for 24th place. Angie Guell finished in 34th place with a time of 25:23.48.

Coach Helgeson said of the meet today "Matt and Angie have worked incredibly hard the past couple weeks in practices and it's exciting to see that paying off for them in the races. Matt is starting to become quite a competitor, Angie has made the change from someone who likes to run to someone who can race, and Penny surprises me with how well she does with a little as she gets to practice with the team. We may not have a full team to compete in these meets, but I'm proud of how each of them succeeds individually."
