Muskies fall to Blugolds, 28-19

Four Muskies took home wins as the Lakeland grapplers fell to 28th nationally ranked UW-Eau Claire, 28-19, in wrestling action in Eau Claire on Friday night.

In the 174 division, junior Calvin O'Neal took a 3-2 win over the Blugolds' Joey Miller.

Junior Paul Hartt picked up his 23rd victory of the season defeating Nick Hoeft a decisive 13-0. Hartt is now 23-3 for the season.

Senior Mark Vanden Hoogen also went home a winner, pinning the Blugolds' Justin McAuly 4:41 into their match. Vanden Hoogen is now 19-5 for the season.

Sophomore David Copp also picked up a win for Lakeland due to a forfeit by the Blugolds.

The Muskies will be in action in Eau Claire again tomorrow at the UW-Eau Claire Wrestling Invitational. Action begins at 9 a.m.
