Lakeland Rolls Over Dominican for Fifth NAC Win of Season

The Lakeland College women's volleyball team improved to 5-0 in the Northern Athletics Conference after defeating Dominican University, 3-0 (30-20, 30-15, 30-24) on Friday in River Forest, Ill.
Senior outside hitter Ashley Domask and sophomore middle hitter Kim Linger were strong on offense for the Muskies (9-8 overall), leading the squad with nine kills apiece, with Linger also chipping in five blocks. Sophomore outside hitter Brittanie Paulus was also an aggressive force, chalking up eight kills on offense to go along with a team-high 18 digs in the back row.
Junior setter Jessica Sparling and sophomore defensive specialist Tonia Strebelinski also contributed to the squad's defensive cause with 10 digs apiece, with Sparling racking up 37 assists.
The Muskies will continue match play on Saturday, Sept. 29, with a triangular meet with NAC opponent Concordia University Chicago and a non-conference matc with Purdue North Central. Match times are set for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, Ill.
