The
The Muskies (22-6, 15-1 NAC) ended both games in five innings, as freshmen Sara Roberts and Cassie Felton each went the distance on the mound in the first and second games respectively.
Lock went on to tally another home run for three RBIs in the fifth inning, as the Muskies capped off their scoring with three more runs.
Several Muskies experienced success at the plate, as Peters, Lock, Barone and junior designated hitter Jesse Van Camp each had two hits on three at-bats, with Lock tallying a team-leading five RBIs.
In the second game of the doubleheader, Peters got the scoring started with a bang, cracking her first grand slam of the season and batting in Waltz, Blahnik and junior right fielder Rebecca Schuettpelz. The Muskies continued to gain the upper hand on offense in the second and third innings, scoring three more runs in each inning. Blahnik helped seal the game for her team in the fourth inning with a two-RBI triple as the Muskies tallied five runs total for the inning.
Blahnik and Schuettpelz were perfect at bat for the game, as Blahnik had three hits and four RBIs while Schuettpelz tallied two hits.
