Athletics - posted on 9/21/2004

The Lakeland College Muskies took on LMC conference rival MSOE tonight at the Wehr center. The Muskies got off to a good start, winning the first game easily 30-16.

Lakeland started the second game, much like the first, but began to stumble. MSOE gained several points on Muskie Errors. Luckily, the Muskies were able to pull off another game win, 30-25. The third game saw much of the same, with MSOE getting 15 of their 23 points on Lakeland errors. The Muskies were able to hold off the Raiders of MSOE to win the third game by a final of 30-23.

With the win the Muskies move to 5-4 on the season, and stay atop the Lake Michigan Conference with a perfect 4-0 record. Leading the way for the Muskies was Lana Neuman who had 49 assists, 16 digs, three kills, one block, and one ace. Also for the Muskies, Resi Ertler added 18 kills, 13 digs, and one ace. Heather Heberlein chipped in 12 kills and two assists.

The Muskies will next travel to the UW-Eau Claire tournament this Friday and Saturday, September 24th and 25th.
