Lakeland Losses to Concordia University Chicago

The Lakeland College women's tennis team played against Concordia University Chicago, and lost a rough match with a result of 9-0.

In the singles competition, Sakie Matsubara was tough competition for Concordia's Collen Mullaney, though she lost her No. 1 match with close scores of 7-6, 6-3.  In the No. 2 match, Mariah Tess lost to Concordia's Stacey Raymond, with scores of 6-0 in both rounds.  Kayla Moffitt lost the No. 3 match to Nicole Erickson of Concordia with scores of 6-0 in both rounds.  Concordia's Amy MacLaughlin won the No. 4 match against Erika Brown with scores of 6-1, 6-0.  In the No. 5 match, Karla Wente of Concordia defeated Mary Dennewitz with scores of 6-0, 6-2.  In the No. 6 match, Concordia's Katie Densford won by forfeit.

In the doubles competition, Sakie Matsubara and Mariah Tess fell to Concordia's Stacey Raymond and Nicole Erikson in the No. 1 match, with a score of 8-2.  Colleen Mullaney and Katie Densford of Concordia won the No. 2 match against Kayla Moffitt and Erika Brown with a score of 8-0.  In the No. 3 match, Concordia's Karla Wente and Amy MacLaughlin won by forfeit.
