- ABOUT LAKELAND

The Lakeland College women's volleyball team is slated to finish second in the Northern Athletics Conference this season according to the preseason coaches' poll, receiving two first place votes. Benedictine University was selected to finish first with four first place votes, while Aurora University was picked for the No. 3 spot, despite receiving five first place votes.
The Muskies finished 18-18 overall, 8-4 NAC last season after being bumped out of the first round of the conference tournament by Maranatha Baptist. However, the squad will return all of its key contributors after losing only one senior last year.
Benedictine (22-11) claimed the first NAC tournament crown in 2006 and will return most of its squad after losing only two seniors.
Aurora finished 19-14 overall but went an unbeaten 11-0 in NAC regular season play to become the first NAC regular season champions. The Spartans lost eight seniors, but return a strong cast of upperclassmen.
