Lakeland College senior quarterback Brad Wilk (Roselle, Ill./Lake Park) was awarded the Illini-Badger Football Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Greenville last Saturday.

Wilk had a great game as the Muskies picked up their first win of the season, defeating Greenville 36-21 in the conference opener last Saturday. He threw for 254 yards completing 19-of-32 passes for four touchdowns and just one interception. Wilk was also solid on the ground as he picked up a rushing TD in the contest.

"He had a break-out game," said Lakeland head coach Kevin Doherty. "He completed almost 60 percent of his passes and completed four touchdown passes, which is pretty good. I think winning this award will give him more confidence in his abilities."

This is the fourth straight week a Muskie has captured IBFC Player of the Week honors. Junior punter Billy Hughes earned Special Teams Player of the Week last week and senior wide receiver MacArthur White had captured the honor two straight weeks prior to that.

This isn't the first honor for Wilk this season, as he was named to the IBFC coaches' Preseason Top 10 Players to Watch list.

Last season, Wilk was a first team all-IBFC quarterback selection. He led the conference in passing (174.2 yards a game) and total offense (189.5 yards per game).
