Lakeland to Host Edgewood in NAC Tournament Opener

The pairings for the Northern Athletics Conference women's volleyball tournament are set, and the quarterfinals begin on Tuesday, Oct. 30.

Lakeland earned the No. 1 seed with a perfect 12-0 regular season NAC record, earning the Muskies their first regular season NAC title. Lakeland will host No. 8 Edgewood College in a quarterfinal match at 7 p.m. The Muskies downed the Eagles earlier in the season, 3-0 (30-13, 30-18, 30-26), and will look to produce a similar result in order to remain in the hunt for the program's first NAC Tournament title.

Tuesday's other first round matches will pit No. 2 Concordia, Wis. (22-9) against No. 7 Maranatha Baptist (13-12), No. 3 Benedictine (23-4) against No. 6 Rockford (11-13) and No. 4 Concordia University Chicago (15-11) against No. 5 Milwaukee School of Engineering (10-18). The higher seeds will host the matches.

Tuesday's winners will advance to the semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 1. If the Muskies defeat Edgewood, they will play the winner of the Concordia Chicago/MSOE match at home.

The NAC Final will be played on Saturday, Nov. 3, at the home of the highest remaining seed.
