The Lakeland College men's volleyball team rolled over Carthage College, 3-0 (30-15, 30-26, 30-21) en route to a Wisconsin Volleyball Conference match win on Tuesday, March 4, in Kenosha, Wis.
The Muskies (24-4, 8-1 WVC) produced an impressive defensive showing against the Red Men, as senior defensive specialist Shawn Voelz racked up 17 digs to go along with four assists and two service aces. Junior setter Matt Clemens was also key to the squad's victory, putting up a team-high 25 assists and chipping in seven digs, two blocks and two kills. Senior middle hitter Avdo Omerbegovic led a diverse offensive attack at the net with five kills while also recording five blocks.
Lakeland will continue WVC play with Marquette University at home on Thursday, March 6. Match time is set for 8 p.m. in the Woltzen Gymnasium.
