Vang Named to 2007 Division III Honorable Mention All-Wisconsin Soccer Team

Lakeland College sophomore defender Doua Vang was named a member of the honorable mention 2007 All-Wisconsin NCAA Division III men's soccer team as the teams were announced on Monday, Dec. 17.

Although Vang, a native of Green Bay, began the season as one of the Muskies' primary defensive weapons, he took on the role of a midfielder as the season progressed. Vang was successful at his new position that more actively involved him in the attack, as he finished the season with three goals and one assist.

"Doua was able to be an offensive threat while cutting out many of our opponents' attacks," said head coach Dave Madsen. "He helped us solidify the midfield, which helped us win three of our last five games this season."
