Two members of the Lakeland College men's volleyball team, Tim Frillman and Beau Bradshaw, have been honored with the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference Player of the Week Award so far this season.
Frillman, a senior middle blocker, was named the WVC Division I Co-Player of the Week for the week of January 21. The Lincolnshire, Ill., native led the Muskies to a perfect 3-0 start to the WVC season with sweeps of UW-Platteville, UW-La Crosse and UW-Stout. For the weekend, Frillman hit .395 with 21 kills on 38 attempts while adding seven blocks. In the win over the Eagles, Frillman led Lakeland College with 13 kills and three blocks.
Bradshaw, a freshman middle blocker on the Muskies' JV squad, was named the WVC Division II Player of the Week for the week of January 28. The Oak Lawn, Ill., native helped the Muskies go a perfect 5-0 during the week with two wins over Marquette University II, UW-Whitewater II, UW-Platteville II and Northland Baptist Bible College. In the five matches, he slammed down a combined 24 kills in 45 attempts for an attack percentage of .400. Bradshaw also added seven service aces and 11 blocks as Lakeland College came out of the WVC Division II play date with a 4-0 record.
