The Lakeland College Muskies continued their dominance of the Lake Michigan Conference this evening, defeating Maranatha Baptist Bible College three games to one.

The Muskies won the first two matches convincingly by scores of 30-18 and 30-17. The Crusaders of Maranatha would battle back in the third game, coming from behind to win 31-29. The Muskies would pull their game together in the fourth, and shut the door on the Crusader's 30-18.

“When we look good we are real good." said Coach Schreiber, "When we are bad we give away points in bunches. It is great to see we can control the flow of a game when we are clicking, but it is too late in the season to give up point runs like we have done. We’ll continue to work through it trying to be on top of our game by seasons end.”

Leading the way for the Muskies was Lana Neuman who tallied 51 assists, 15 digs, two blocks, and one ace. Nikki Boeckh added 17 kills and eight blocks while Leeann Hupfer added 16 kills, three aces and three digs.

The Muskies will next be in action on Saturday, October 16th against Wisconsin Lutheran at 11:00am and Edgewood College at 1:00pm. Those matches will be part of the Maranatha Triangular held in Watertown.
