Ehnert Earns NAC Student-Athlete of the Week Award

Senior Danny Ehnert was awarded the final Northern Athletics Conference Student-Athlete of the Week award for the 2007-08 men's basketball season to honor his amazing efforts during this past week's NAC Tournament.

Ehnert, a forward from Sussex, Wis., helped the No. 6 seeded Muskies cap off an amazing run in the NAC Tournament, as the team recorded three wins in overtime against higher seeds to take the tournament championship crown on Saturday with an 82-77 overtime victory over No. 1 seeded Aurora University.

Ehnert shot 50 percent from the field and recorded three double-doubles for the week highlighted by a 22-point, 16-rebound effort, both career records for him, to help the squad defeat Marian College in overtime in Thursday's semifinal game, 76-75. Ehnert was also just one assist away from a triple-double in Tuesday's quarterfinal win over Wisconsin Lutheran College, as he registered 10 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists.

He closes out a successful collegiate career with a third-place finish in the NAC for rebounds per game with 8.9.
