The Lakeland baseball team finally got its Northern Athletics Conference season underway, but Muskies suffered a pair of league losses at Concordia, Wis., 16-5 and 7-3, in a doubleheader in Mequon.

Lakeland (1-8, 0-2 NAC) led 3-2 after an inning and a half thanks to a two-run single from sophomore Jacob Heinemeyer. But the Falcons (9-5, 2-0) scored three in the bottom of the second to take a 5-3 lead, and never looked back.

He walked one. Senior Kris Saiberlich allowed five runs on four hits in two innings, walking two, and freshman Matt Katzman allowed four runs on three hits in an inning, walking three and striking out one.

Lakeland led 3-0 in the second game, but Concordia scored twice in the fifth and four times in the sixth.

Freshman Jeremy Williams had two of Lakeland's six hits, and the Muskies again were plagued by four errors. Sophomore Lee Chepil suffered the loss in relief.
