With a pair of match wins over Arizona State and UW-Oshkosh on Friday, the Lakeland College men's volleyball team joined elite company as one the top 16 teams in the nation heading into tomorrow's final round at the NIRSA National Championships in Dallas, Tex.
The Muskies (48-8) are undefeated in terms of both match records and game records at Nationals so far, as they defeated Arizona State 25-16, 25-19 and UW-Oshkosh 25-22, 25-20. Their record gives the Muskies the No. 2 seed in tomorrow's final tournament bracket, with their first opponent still TBA.
"We've gotten stronger as our matches have gone on, and we're just playing out of our minds right now," said Lakeland head coach Chad Schreiber. "Everyone is doing their part for us right now, and we're really hitting on all cylinders and frustrating the other teams."
