The Lakeland College baseball team slipped to 8-22 on the season with a 10-0 non-conference loss to St. Norbert College in eight innings on Wednesday, April 23, in De Pere, Wis.
Freshman Matt Katzman suffered the loss on the mound in three innings, giving up eight hits and three runs. Sophomore Lee Chepil came in to pitch the remainder of the game, allowing seven hits and seven runs.
The Muskies struggled to get their offense going, managing just two hits for the game on singles by freshman short stop Ed Kozlowski and junior right fielder Zach Hilbert.
Lakeland will resume Northern Athletics Conference play with a doubleheader at Benedictine University on Saturday, April 26. Game start time is set for 12 p.m. in Lisle, Ill.
