Muskies split a pair at second day of Sugarloaf Classic

The Lakeland women's volleyball team split two matches Saturday for the second consecutive day at the Sugarloaf Classic in Winona, Minn.
In their first match of the day, the Muskies (4-4) defeated Northland in four sets, 25-17, 25-16, 23-25, 25-13.
Later in the day, Lakeland was defeated by the University of Chicago 27-25, 25-21, 25-22.
The Muskies finished 2-2 for the tournament after dropping a 25-19, 25-14, 26-24 decision to Luther and defeating Maranatha 25-5, 25-21, 25-12 on Friday.
"We put ourselves in quite a hole this weekend," Lakeland head coach Chad Schreiber said. "We have the week off and look forward to making improvements and adjustments during that time."
Senior right side Heidi Kramer (Green Bay) was named to the All-Tournament team. Kramer ranked among tournament leaders in hitting percentage (.361) and kills per game (3.08).
Lakeland will head to Madison to face Edgewood College on Sept. 16 at 7 p.m.
