Jon Bintner picked up his first and second victories of the season as Lakeland swept a doubleheader against Maranatha Baptist on Saturday, 11-0 and 4-1.
The Muskie offense, led by a 3-4, two RBI effort from Brian Swanson, continued its dominance of Crusader pitching in game one, scored 10 runs off of Marantha starting pitcher Richard Febus.
Swanson has a .556 (10-18) batting average in his last five games.
Bintner allowed two hits and struck out one in the fifth to get the win.
He received the start in the second game and pitched six scoreless innings to get the win.
Zach Schmitz, who hit the first home run of his Lakeland career Friday against Maranatha, opened the scoring with a two-run single in the third.
That was enough for Lakeland, as Maranatha got on the scoreboard with one run in the seventh before Brett Nelson got out of a bases loaded jam to keep Lakeland ahead.
Adam Hablewitz struck out two of the three batters he faced in the ninth to get the save.
Lakeland, now 4-5 in the LMC and 7-18-1 overall, will host UW-Stevens Point on Monday at 1 p.m.
