The No. 4 Lakeland men's volleyball team cruised to a 25-9, 25-13, 25-18 win over UW-Stevens Point in a Wisconsin Volleyball Conference contest on Thursday night in Stevens Point.

The Muskies (24-5, 9-1 WVC) were able to jump on the Pointers and not let up, capturing their third consecutive victory and the fourth in their last five matches.

"It was a good conference win for us tonight," Lakeland coach Chad Schreiber said. "Hopefully we can use our momentum to our advantage heading into tournament season."

Senior middle hitter Jared Rohland (Fort Atkinson), who made his return to action after sustaining an ankle injury earlier in the season, led Lakeland offensively with eight kills and a .583 hitting percentage.

Freshman setter Mitch Wiskirchen (Schaumburg, Ill.) contributed offensively with 23 assists.

Defensively, senior libero Nick Wiskirchen (Schaumburg, Ill.) registered seven digs, while senior middle hitter Chris Plamann (Appleton) posted five blocks up front.

The Muskies return to action this Saturday and Sunday at the MIVA Championships at Northern Illinois in DeKalb, Ill. Match times and opponents are TBA.
