Athletics - posted on 12/11/2008
Two members of the Lakeland men's soccer team, senior midfielder Kevin Fitchett and junior forward Ted Cormier, have received recognition on the Division III All-Wisconsin team, as local members of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced the team Thursday.
Fitchett was named to the second team, while Cormier garnered honorable mention accolades.
The Green Bay Preble graduates tied for the team lead with 13 goals, helping Lakeland to the program's first winning season (8-7-2, 6-3-2 NAC) since 1994 and an appearance in the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament.
Fitchett, whose 26 career goals stand second in Lakeland history, was named All-NAC first team following the regular season.
