Smith's second goal squeezed in before the first half ended at the 43:55 mark. The Muskies didn't stop there, when junior forward Ann Lehecka finished on a great 1-2 combo with Smith to seal the game in the second half
The Muskies held strong defensively with strong play by backs Briana Plautz (Green Bay), Laura Engel (Appleton) and Allyce Maus (Green Bay) holding their opponents to just 3 shots on goal. Goalkeeper Alli Weiss recorded 2 saves and her second shut-out of the season.
