Women's soccer picked seventh in league preseason poll

The Lakeland College women's soccer team has been predicted to finish seventh by the Northern Athletics Conference coaches, as the conference released the 2009 NAC Women's Soccer preseason coaches' poll. The Muskies received 95 poll points after finishing tied for seventh in the NAC with a 6-6 conference mark and 10-9 overall record last season.

Aurora, winner of three consecutive conference titles, topped voting with 162 points and received eight of 13 first-place votes.

Lakeland opens its 2009 regular season on Tuesday, September 1 with a home contest against Northland Baptist at 2:30 p.m.
