Lakeland College junior Roberto Flores (Milwaukee) has been named NAC Student Athlete of the Week for Football (offense) for the week of Oct. 26th.
Flores broke the Lakeland single-game receiving record this past weekend in a 30-14 victory over Benedictine. He caught eight passes for 231 yards and three first-half touchdowns.
"Roberto was very deserving of the award this week," Lakeland head coach Kevin Doherty said. "He's worked very hard at becoming a solid receiver and makes both the routine and hard plays. He gets better each week he's on the field."
Flores is second in the NAC with 756 receiving yards and leads the conference with eight touchdowns. He has scored touchdowns in five of seven games this season and has surpassed the 100-yard mark three times this year.
