Lakeland dominates Alverno in NAC action

MILWAUKEE, Wis.--The Lakeland College women's soccer team beat Alverno College, 5-1 in Northern Athletics Conference action Saturday afternoon.

The Muskies (5-11, 4-5) scored early after junior midfielder Kristina Borts (Milwaukee, Wis.) scored in the 14th minute, on her way to the team's second hat trick of the season. Borts also captured her 10th goal of the season.

Also scoring for Lakeland was junior forward Lindsay Rogers (Sheboygan, Wis.), who also added an assist, and freshman midfielder Liz Pritzl (Cedar Grove, Wis.).

The Muskies return to NAC action on Tuesday, Oct. 19 against Maranatha Baptist College in the last home game of the season. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
