AURORA, Ill.-- The Lakeland College women's soccer team lost 5-0 to Aurora University in Northern Athletics Conference play Sunday afternoon.
The Muskies found themselves down 2-0 in the first half after Kaitlyn Crohan and Jordan Joyce combined for a goal in the 25th minute. Brook Walendzik added the Spartans second goal in the 32nd minute of the game.
"Aurora is a strong and solid team," said head coach Tony Pierce. "They kept jumping on us and we were never able to settle down."
Freshman goalkeeper Ashley Sarbacker (Middleton, Wis.) recorded a season-high 22 saves.
Lakeland returns to NAC action on Wednesday, Oct. 27 on the road against Concordia Wis. Game time is 3 p.m.
